Revival of historical walls
Niedermairhof
Teodone-Brunico
After 15 years of stagnancy, Katrin and Helmut revitalized and modernized the farm house of the Niedermairhof, whose walls date back to the 14th century, in February 2016. Now they run the farmhouse as a small, exclusive bed and breakfast. Andreas Valazza from Artec architects, Bressanone, worked on the planning and focussed on the revival of the former character of the historical building dating back to its last restructuring in 1904: Everything was put into a new context, a harmony that can be felt in every single corner.
And another story of real life: Kathrin and Lorenz Sternbach met by chance in a supermarket in Brunico. They had gone to the vocational school for carpentry together years before. A few days later, Kathrin pays a visit to the showroom and is just excited. Together with Artec and the owner we plan and develop an accurate concept for the furnishings of the house. The furniture was supposed to pay tribute to history, but also open a new chapter in the farm house.
Traditional elements are in a new context.
In a harmony that you can feel in every corner
